Trip Itinerary

  • Day 1: Arrival – Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you’ll be welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short rest or explore the town, visiting local markets or the Cultural Heritage Centre. Arusha sits at the base of Mount Meru and serves as the perfect gateway to Tanzania’s top safari destinations. In the evening, enjoy a pre-safari briefing and dinner at your lodge. Overnight stay in Arusha.

  • Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Overnight in Karatu

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park—famous for its massive elephant herds and towering baobab trees. The park’s river attracts abundant wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species. Enjoy a full-day game drive and a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire’s peaceful atmosphere and scenic beauty offer a perfect start to your safari. In the late afternoon, continue to the highlands of Karatu for dinner and overnight at a lodge near Ngorongoro.

  • Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park

Start early with a drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater is home to diverse animals, including rhinos, lions, elephants, buffalo, and hippos. After a picnic lunch at the crater floor, ascend the rim and continue your scenic drive to the Central Serengeti via the Naabi Hill Gate. Enjoy en-route game viewing before reaching your lodge or tented camp in the Seronera region. Dinner and overnight in Central Serengeti

  • Day 4: Full Day in Central Serengeti

Spend a full day exploring the Central Serengeti—known for year-round wildlife activity and predator sightings. The Seronera Valley is especially rich in big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, drawn to the area by permanent water sources. Game drives may reveal elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and the ever-present herds of wildebeest and zebra. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or relax at the lodge during midday heat. End the day with a sunset drive and dinner under the stars. Overnight in Central Serengeti.

  • Day 5: Central to Northern Serengeti (Mara River – River Crossing Focus)

After breakfast, drive northward to the Mara River region of the Northern Serengeti. This area is famous for the dramatic Great Migration river crossings, where wildebeest face crocodile-infested waters in their epic journey. Along the way, enjoy game drives across changing landscapes. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive along the riverbanks in search of river crossings and predator action. The Northern Serengeti is remote, quiet, and visually stunning. Dinner and overnight in a luxury tented camp near the Mara River.

  • Day 6: Northern Serengeti to Lake Natron

After an early breakfast and optional morning game drive, begin your journey eastward toward Lake Natron—a strikingly beautiful and less-visited area near the Kenyan border. The drive is long and scenic, passing through Maasai villages and dramatic landscapes, including the escarpments of the East African Rift. Arrive in the afternoon and visit the shores of Lake Natron, famous for its flamingos and eerie, mineral-rich waters. If time allows, take a short walk to the nearby Ngare Sero waterfalls. Dinner and overnight at a rustic lodge or tented camp overlooking the lake

  • Day 7: Lake Natron to Arusha – End of Safari

After breakfast, enjoy the sunrise views over Ol Doinyo Lengai (the "Mountain of God")—an active volcano sacred to the Maasai. Begin your drive back to Arusha through the Great Rift Valley, soaking in the remote beauty of Northern Tanzania. Along the way, you’ll pass traditional villages and enjoy the raw, untouched scenery. Arrive in Arusha by late afternoon, where your safari concludes. Optional day room or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home.
