Trip Itinerary

  • Day 1: Zanzibar – Fly to Mikumi National Park & Afternoon Game Drive

    Begin your adventure with a morning flight from Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park, usually landing at the Mikumi airstrip. Upon arrival, your driver-guide will greet you and take you on a scenic drive to your lodge or camp for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive across Mikumi’s broad savannahs, known for frequent sightings of giraffes, elephants, and prides of lions. As the sun sets over the Mkata floodplain, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

    After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive covering various ecosystems within the park. Visit the Mkata River and the hippo pools, watch elephants cooling off in muddy waterholes, and keep an eye out for leopards and wild dogs. The open terrain makes it ideal for spotting game, and your guide will ensure you explore both popular routes and quieter corners. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch under a shaded acacia before continuing your safari into the afternoon. Return to camp for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

  • Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Fly Back to Zanzibar

Return to camp for breakfast and then transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled return flight to Zanzibar.
