This 7-day Tanzania safari journey immerses you in the heart of the Northern Circuit—offering the best of wildlife, nature, and culture. Start with a warm welcome in Arusha, followed by an exciting game drive in Tarangire, home to elephants and ancient baobabs. Continue to Ngorongoro Crater for a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience inside the world’s largest intact caldera. Then venture into the legendary Serengeti, spending time in both the Central and Northern regions to witness the Great Migration and dramatic Mara River crossings. Conclude your adventure with a scenic journey to the remote and hauntingly beautiful Lake Natron, before returning to Arusha. Ideal for witnessing river crossings between July–October and for travelers seeking a mix of iconic parks and offbeat wonders.
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park—famous for its massive elephant herds and towering baobab trees. The park’s river attracts abundant wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species. Enjoy a full-day game drive and a picnic lunch in the park. Tarangire’s peaceful atmosphere and scenic beauty offer a perfect start to your safari. In the late afternoon, continue to the highlands of Karatu for dinner and overnight at a lodge near Ngorongoro.
Start early with a drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend 600 meters into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. The crater is home to diverse animals, including rhinos, lions, elephants, buffalo, and hippos. After a picnic lunch at the crater floor, ascend the rim and continue your scenic drive to the Central Serengeti via the Naabi Hill Gate. Enjoy en-route game viewing before reaching your lodge or tented camp in the Seronera region. Dinner and overnight in Central Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the Central Serengeti—known for year-round wildlife activity and predator sightings. The Seronera Valley is especially rich in big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs, drawn to the area by permanent water sources. Game drives may reveal elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and the ever-present herds of wildebeest and zebra. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or relax at the lodge during midday heat. End the day with a sunset drive and dinner under the stars. Overnight in Central Serengeti.
After breakfast, drive northward to the Mara River region of the Northern Serengeti. This area is famous for the dramatic Great Migration river crossings, where wildebeest face crocodile-infested waters in their epic journey. Along the way, enjoy game drives across changing landscapes. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive along the riverbanks in search of river crossings and predator action. The Northern Serengeti is remote, quiet, and visually stunning. Dinner and overnight in a luxury tented camp near the Mara River.
After an early breakfast and optional morning game drive, begin your journey eastward toward Lake Natron—a strikingly beautiful and less-visited area near the Kenyan border. The drive is long and scenic, passing through Maasai villages and dramatic landscapes, including the escarpments of the East African Rift. Arrive in the afternoon and visit the shores of Lake Natron, famous for its flamingos and eerie, mineral-rich waters. If time allows, take a short walk to the nearby Ngare Sero waterfalls. Dinner and overnight at a rustic lodge or tented camp overlooking the lake
